777 Partners is in trouble again. The American owner of Standard Liège, who is being begged to leave by everyone on the Maas side, is now trying to take over Everton.
The American medium Bloomberg reports that Leadenhall, a London-based company, has filed a claim alleging large-scale fraud by 777 Partners. Leadenhall claims that 777 Partners borrowed $350 million by pledging assets they did not own.
In recent weeks, the airline Bonza, in which 777 Partners also participates, has been placed into receivership and a major investor has accused 777 of fraud in New York court, but despite all this, the Everton takeover is still on the table, reports say different media.
