ZAANDIJK – The 1000 of Zaandijk will be held for the third time on May 11. This is a small-scale event, in which runners from young to old, from super fast to slightly slower, cover 1000 meters over the Lagedijk from De Werf primary school to the Zaanse Bakkertje, between the ‘t Leven pumping station and the De Bleeke Dood mill.

The organization is in the hands of the Zaandijk Leeft! Foundation! in collaboration with the Zaanland Athletics Association. Participation is free and for the fastest men and women there will be a filled envelope at the finish. Each participant receives a unique ‘silver’ Zaandijk coin. The start is at 2:20 PM. Registration from 1.15 pm at De Werf primary school.
