Nederbrakel

On the occasion of Market Month, the municipality of Brakel and the market vendors are jointly giving away 55 prizes. The weekly Wednesday market in Nederbrakel and the Sunday market at the Tirse car park are also in the spotlight.

“Our successful Brakel markets have a great attraction,” says councilor of Middenstand Peter Vanderstuyf (Open VLD). “As a result, they bring a lot of life to our village center, which benefits our Brakel middle class and catering industry. The municipal council naturally fully supports these markets.”

The municipality will also contribute financially this year. She donates 33 gift vouchers of 25 euros each. Gift vouchers that can be spent at one of the participating Brakel businesses. “Our market vendors are donating 32 gift vouchers of 25 euros as well as an LED TV, a deep fryer and a coffee maker.”

Additional prizes will be raffled throughout the province, including four holiday vouchers worth 250 euros, four vouchers worth 100 euros and sixteen packages with East Flemish regional products and fair trade products.

Children’s entertainment and music

To win one of these prizes, you can complete a purchase card with every purchase at the Wednesday and/or Sunday market and deposit it in the buses set up at the markets. The winners will be announced in early May.

Numerous activities will be organized to make the market even more attractive. A balloon popper and children’s make-up will come during the Easter holidays and there will be a musical performance during the following Wednesday markets. (Eric De Pessemier)
