I just took a look for you.
On iOS I get the passwords option above a login field.
I then have the choice between using my own password manager of choice or the Apple iCloud. In both cases I get a FaceID prompt.
For Apple Keychain I can create a new password, I can tap the + sign to create a new account and I can search my keychain.
On MacOS I have my extension active for entering passwords, but if I use Autofill, I can choose my keychain and existing accounts. If I want something new, I go to the settings app – In Safari I don’t get a pop-up or something like that that I can quickly add a new account. The keychain does offer the ability to create and store new passwords.
It would be easier if I could sync between the two more easily, because because Apple was quite late in sharing passwords, I hired a password manager. Now 1=none so I spread my passwords in both vaults where, for example, Apple iCloud is only in the external manager and my main password of the PM is only analogue in a place where you have to look carefully
I haven’t checked Windows yet, but I exclusively use my password manager there.
