The first expansion for Starfield is called Shattered Space and will be released in the fall of 2024. Director Todd Howard revealed this in an interview. In addition, Bethesda’s CEO revealed that the space epic will soon receive an update with numerous improvements.
Todd Howard announced the news during an episode of Kinda Funny Games. For example, he said that Shattered Space will be released in the fall, but that a major update is also coming. There are many new features, including maps for in-game cities.
The new update would be announced in a few days and will first come via the Steam beta. According to Howard, the update also offers a lot of cool options for building your ship.
He provides few details about the Shattered Space expansion. The expansion introduces a new storyline, as well as new locations, equipment, weapons and more. Given the name of the expansion, it is also possible that something goes wrong with Unity and different realities start to overlap.
