In 2020, Dragon Age creator Mike Laidlaw and some veterans at Ubisoft decided to start their own game studio called Yellow Brick Games. The team has been working on the first game for a long time and today it was revealed with the trailer below.

The first game from Yellow Brick Games is called Eternal Strands, a single-player third-person fantasy action adventure game. In Eternal Strands you are protagonist Brynn, a young Weaver determined to reclaim the cultural home of her people. As Weaver, you can use magical weapons to battle deadly humanoids, monsters and even titans. The player can use environments but also temperature to defeat enemies. With your magic you can create new paths to reach your destination.

In the trailer we see that Brynn can throw various objects in the world at enemies. The player can also climb onto the body of a titan as in a Shadow of the Colossus. Possible to reach weak spots. Furthermore, the game looks quite colorful like an animated movie you play. Several titans are briefly shown in the first trailer, including a titan with a flaming head. The player can use elements such as fire and ice to eliminate enemies.

Eternal Strands does not have a release date yet. The game is in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PC via Steam. As an independent studio, Yellow Brick Games will self-publish Eternal Strands.
