KRC Genk will take on Cercle Brugge on Saturday evening. This after the Limburgers lost twice in a row to Club Brugge.

KRC Genk will have a chance to bounce back on Saturday after the double defeat against Club Brugge. It became 4-0 and 0-3.

The big problem at KRC Genk seems to be scoring goals. At home against Club Brugge, Genk started much better, but forgot to reward themselves.

Yet coach Wouter Vrancken puts that problem into perspective a bit. “In the four games for Club we were efficient and showed stability. It is important to pick up on that again,” he told Het Belang van Limburg.

The goal of the Limburgers is to go all out for a European ticket. “We are fully committed to victory over Cercle, in this way we would take a very big step towards fourth place.”

“That is now our first goal, we want to get a European ticket. Only once that has been received can you possibly look even further up at the end of these play-offs.”

According to HBVL, Tolu is ready to play against Cercle, although that will be with a helmet. After neurological examinations, it was determined that the Nigerian striker suffered no damage.
