Norwegian Jesper Daland (24) scored an important goal for Cercle Brugge against Anderlecht. He appears to be leaving at the end of this season.

At the beginning of the second half, Daland scored the important equalizer for Cercle Brugge against Anderlecht. He gave the Association another point, although Denkey could also have provided the three points.

“It had been far too long since I had scored,” Daland said. “I don’t know how many matches we have to go back in time.” It was not until January 2023 against KAA Gent that the Norwegian had caused the net to shake.

Is Daland leaving Cercle Brugge?

Whether Daland will do that again in the Cercle shirt remains to be seen. There are still five games scheduled this season, after which Daland’s future no longer seems to lie in Bruges.

Last year he seemed to be on his way to Monaco, but the transfer fell through at the last minute. “Everything is possible in football, but I am now concentrating on Cercle Brugge and the Champions’ Play-offs.”

“Every year and at every club, players are eligible for a transfer. That will happen to me sooner or later, but it is not an issue yet,” the Dane concluded.
