The top match between Club Brugge and RSC Anderlecht is scheduled for next weekend. The home team in particular should not lose. Purple-White can in turn put Blue-Black in complete mourning.

Albert increases the pressure on Anderlecht

Philippe Albert watched Anderlecht’s match against Royal Antwerp FC. They played very poorly in the first half, but things went better against ten men. RSCA had enough chances to win more than 1-0.

“The Purple & White improved in the second half, but we saw that they struggled to reach their level. In the end, they will only remember the victory and put the pressure on Union. Now they have to aim for the title and their take responsibility. Because it will be Union or Anderlecht. After seven years without a trophy, it would be another failure if they do not become champions. Even if the season was satisfactory,” he said La Capitale.

Season not a failure due to missing title

“If Club Brugge shows the same face as in the first half against Cercle, they have no chance against Anderlecht. On the other hand, if they play like they did in the second period, Club can beat anyone. Which Club Brugge will we see?” the ex-Red Devil wonders.

Anderlecht would of course be disappointed if they missed out on the title, but if they finished in the top three they could simply be satisfied. Last year they finished 11th and the club was in a major crisis. The metamorphosis they have undergone in a year is even impressive with a very good transfer policy from Jesper Fredberg.
