Team boss Christoph Roodhooft was particularly satisfied with the way his team worked together in the major races. The riders of Alpecin-Deceuninck solved a lot of problems for their leader and that resulted in a particularly good victory in the Tour of Flanders.
“We thought from our own strengths. We also knew how the other teams would do, because it had been discussed extensively in advance. But we formed our own plan.” said Roodhooft Sporza.

“In our country we have a battery of analysts and columnists and in the long run it becomes difficult for them to come up with an original approach. It is a shame that our team was questioned like this,” Roodhooft continued. “Look at the 7 names with us. Fortunately, other people had a good look at it.
