The lifeless body of missing Cathy Dubois from Tournai has been found in the Scheldt. The federal police had issued an arrest notice for the 46-year-old woman on Sunday evening. After closing her restaurant on Saturday evening around 11:30 p.m., she was missing. The woman’s car was found destroyed at Tournai station.
Cathy Dubois is the owner of restaurant Une P’tite Envie in the center of Tournai. She closed that on Saturday evening around 11 p.m. Her partner and son had already left around 10 p.m., after the kitchen was closed.
What happened next remains a mystery for now. Has she disappeared herself, has she seen something that was not intended for her eyes, or has she been robbed… The police take all possibilities into account. There were no traces of a burglary or robbery in the restaurant itself.
A public prosecutor’s office spokesperson told ‘La Dernière Heure’ that Cathy’s (46) car was found on Boulevard Eisenhower, behind Tournai station. The police took the vehicle for thorough investigation. The car was damaged and appeared to be smeared with white powder from the fire extinguisher. No traces of blood were found. According to the police, the car was poorly parked, but was locked.

Family worried
The family of Cathy Dubois (46) is very worried. Cathy is asked to contact her loved ones to reassure them. “Cathy is 1.70 meters tall and of slim build,” police said. “She has gray-green eyes and brown hair cut in a square shape. She is wearing glasses. At the time of her disappearance she was wearing a black dress and gray boots.”
