Warner Bros. Discovery has announced more details about the launch of HBO Max in Belgium. This new streaming service will be available to watch from July 1 and comes with many series, films and sports. The cheapest subscription formula starts at €5.99 per month.

The launch of HBO Max, or Max as the streaming service is known in the rest of the world, in our country has been in the air for some time, but now the time has almost come. Warner Bros. Discovery has just announced that the official release date of this new streaming service is scheduled for Monday, July 1.

The unofficial release is even planned for June 11, because from then on subscribers can enjoy their chosen subscription for free for 14 days. During this period, certain titles will not yet be available in Dutch.

Subscription formulas

There are various subscription formulas available in HBO Max.

  • Basic with advertising: The cheapest subscription starts at €5.99 per month. Users can stream on 2 devices simultaneously in Full HD resolution. This subscription formula includes advertisements.
  • Standard: If you don’t want advertising, choose this formula for 9.99 euros per month. Here too you can stream on 2 devices simultaneously in Full HD resolution. You can also download content to watch offline.
  • Premium: For 13.99 euros per month you can even stream on 4 devices simultaneously in Full HD or 4K resolution and with Dolby Atmos sound. You can also download content offline.

You can also opt for an extra 5 euros per month Sports Add-On to take. This gives you access to Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 and many other top sporting events, including Grand Slam tennis, the 2024 Olympic Games and major cycling races.
