Good news for all fans of good series, documentaries, sports matches and films, because the new streaming service HBO Max will be launched in Belgium on July 1.

Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) announced today that its new streaming service HBO Max will launch in Belgium on July 1. That’s good news for those who love to stretch out on the couch and watch TV after a long day at work, because they have a wide selection. You can watch HBO series such as the popular ‘House of the Dragon’, the prequel to the even more successful ‘Game of Thrones’. This fictional series will have a second season very soon. But you can also stream ‘The Last of Us’ and ‘The White Lotus’ on HBO Max.

‘Wonka’, ‘Harry Potter’ and the Olympic Games

There is also no shortage of good films, because HBO Max is, after all, from film giant Warner Bros. So you can watch the top hits ‘Wonka’, ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’, the entire ‘Harry Potter’ series, ‘The Matrix’, ‘ Request The Dark Knight’ and ‘Joker’. “The unparalleled content we have on HBO Max means that whatever your mood, HBO Max has something great for everyone,” said JB Perrette, CEO and President of Global Streaming & Games at Warner Bros.

A great extra is that you can closely follow the Paris 2024 Olympic Games on this streaming service. All customers receive full access to the largest sporting event in the world. Tip for real sports fans: if you add an extra to your subscription, you can see even more coverage of major international and European sports including tennis, cycling, car racing, snooker and so on.

Preview

The streaming service will be available in our country from July 1. If you fancy a sneak peek, starting June 11 you can get early access to HBO Max for free for the first 14 days of their subscription. During this short period, certain titles will only be available in English and French. Your subscription will then be extended at the usual price of 9.99 euros for a standard monthly subscription or 5.99 euros for a basic subscription with advertising. The arrival of HBO Max does mean that HBO titles will no longer be shown first on the Streamz streaming service. Telenet customers will be able to gain access to the HBO Max app soon after launch.
