Prince Amedeo is not often spotted in our country anymore since he moved to Switzerland with his family. In 2017, they decided to seek anonymity together in the city of Basel, where Amedeo now works for the private bank of his father Archduke Lorenz of Austria-Este. The latter has been a director at E. Gutzwiller & Cie since 1987, but Amedeo has taken over his position as one of the five shareholders since April 2022. He now specializes in investment research and private asset management.

Amedeo and Lili married in 2014 and were still settled in Laeken when they welcomed their first daughter, Archduchess Anna Astrid (7), two years later. The couple prepared the rest of their family in Switzerland with a son, Archduke Maximilian (4), and in complete secrecy a second daughter, Archduchess Alix, in September last year.
