Hoboken

The library will renovate and close its doors during the work. The library will not welcome visitors again until 2025.

With the renovation of the library, the district wants to create a cozy and inspiring environment. For example, investments are being made in a new counter, reading and study areas, a reading corner, coffee corner and a better arrangement of the book collection. The renewal falls within the BIB plan 2020-2025, which puts visitors first. All Antwerp libraries agreed within this strategic plan to focus on trend shifts in the future.

The library will close its doors from April 28 until the end of 2024, but the services will continue to be provided during those eight months. You can lend out as many books and DVDs as you want until April 28 and keep them during the closure. The return box will remain available until May 31. From May 7, there will also be a takeaway library in the Gravenhof cultural center, which will be open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Bib Hoboken also refers to libraries in the area such as Bist and Kielpark.
