“A Dutch teacher probably lives here.” Marc D’Haenens (67) and Josiane Declercq (65) heard it for no less than eight years while they happily lived on their houseboat ‘t Kofschip in Lier. But they feel it is time to say goodbye to their ship that was built during the First World War. “We are going to miss that view and the peace here enormously,” the couple said. We were allowed to go on a tour and got a very nostalgic feeling.
