Easter is the traditional ‘lamb days’ at the Vaneleke sheep farm in Merksplas. This year they are celebrating their tenth anniversary, and they are now focusing entirely on ex-employee Sanne Geerts (26). She was the driving force behind the company for nine years. At the beginning of this year, however, the young lady had a fatal fall on her parents’ farm and suffered a cerebral infarction. “A tough – and expensive – rehabilitation awaits her,” sighs her uncle Peter. Operators Koen and Nele then decided to take action and support the family.
