For more than two years, E. (almost 17) from East Flanders and her parents have been crying out for appropriate psychological care. It has been a search for intensive treatment and admission for just as long. And they are far from alone. Everywhere in Flanders, young people are begging for appropriate guidance, but they cannot find a place where they can be admitted for a long time and the healthcare system has its back against the wall. It is a cry for help from a concerned mother on behalf of so many. “She and we are crying out for help, but there is just not enough,” says the mother.
