Blue chicken and a currywurst: Joost Klein’s first rehearsal reveals details of his performance at the Eurovision Song Contest | Eurovision songfestival

The first official photos and videos have yet to appear, but a striking image of Joost Klein’s rehearsal is already circulating. He appears in his now traditional blue suit with pointed shoulders, but next to him Appie Mussa – one of Klein’s best friends – can be seen in a blue chicken suit. He will act as keyboardist in this outfit.

It is also clear that a creative interpretation is given to the visuals. This includes a currywurst, but also a frozen Windows screen. Two dancers dressed in white will also join Klein on stage. In addition, two of his best friends join Klein on stage in search of the douze points. The creative plan comes from Gover Meit, who is also known as Stefano Keizers. He said beforehand: “I want people to watch it with their mouths open and dance along, but that non-Dutch speaking people also understand what we are doing.”

Next Thursday Klein will be in the second semi-final. He will then compete with fifteen other countries for a total of ten final tickets.
