ADD stands for Attention Deficit Disorder, a subtype of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). The main difference between ADHD and ADD lies in the presence or absence of hyperactivity and impulsivity. In ADD, the symptoms of inattention are prominent, while hyperactivity is less prominent.

1. You are sensitive, involved and emotional

You are overflowing with feeling, but have difficulty showing this. You are dreamy because of a constant stream of thoughts. This makes it difficult to concentrate and you often appear disinterested or absent. The opposite can happen if you are passionate about something: your dreaminess can turn into hyperfocus. Because of your sensitivity, you may suffer from mood swings. Then you withdraw and need time for yourself, even though you are social.

2. You have trouble concentrating

Because your head is busy, you have difficulty to concentrate on a task. You are easily distracted by sounds and movements around you. This means that it takes you longer than anyone else to complete your task. It also costs you more energy and you are more likely to make mistakes. People with ADD can often be lost in thought and have difficulty being present in the moment. People with ADD often have difficulty maintaining attention to tasks or activities, especially if they are boring or repetitive. They can quickly become distracted by external stimuli.

3. You suffer from procrastination

With ADD the stress before you take action. Often there is already a lot going on in your head, but there is a threshold to get started. Too many unresolved issues can lead to a constant feeling of stress. After all, you still have to do everything. Forgetfulness and difficulty organizing tasks and activities are common features of ADD. They may have difficulty remembering important details or completing tasks.

4. You are a perfectionist and creative

When you are assigned a task to which you are fully committed, you ensure that it is a good luck is becoming. You are a creative solution-oriented thinker. But it can be difficult for people with ADD to manage time and meet deadlines. They may have difficulty planning and organizing.

5. Sleep problems

A disturbed day and night night rhythm is common in people with ADD. They can safely watch TV, clean or work late into the night. As a result, you are tired during the day, which in turn increases concentration problems. People with ADD can often be lost in thought and have difficulty being present in the moment.
