“Cancer and its treatments often have major consequences for the appearance. Many people lose their hair or experience skin and nail problems. Although these are often temporary symptoms, extra attention and care for these changes is important for the well-being of the patient,” says Annita van der Meulen, team coordinator and specialized nurse oncology at the Dijklander Hospital. “Many of the complaints can often be improved or camouflaged with simple tips and advice. Experience shows that a well-groomed appearance immediately gives a better feeling.”

Workshop content

During the workshop, participants will receive tips and advice about skin care and make-up. The participants will then get to work with the skin care products, which have been made available especially for this workshop, sponsored by the Friends of the Dijklander Hospital Foundation. The workshop is led and supervised by experienced beauty professionals. At the end of the workshop, participants will receive a bag with care products and an instruction booklet to take home.
