Benefits of black cumin

In addition to black cumin, nigella seed is sometimes also known as black sesame seed, fennel flower or nutmeg flower. The seeds come from the Nigella sativa, a member of the ranunculus family. You mainly taste them in Middle Eastern, Indian and North African cuisine, for example in curries or on naan. It certainly doesn’t taste like cumin, you just taste onion, oregano and black pepper.
