Unfortunately, this candidate is eliminated just before the final

The finalists of ‘De Mol’ are known and that of course means that one participant also had to leave the game just before the grand final. “I was really disappointed,” said the unlucky man.

The final straight line to the final has officially begun. But first a semi-final was played in Palermo on Sunday evening by Bernard, Michaël, Charlotte and Senne. Pinocchio or Pinocchio was the common thread. While Bernard and Senne had to look for the wooden doll, Lolo and Michaël played puppet theater with his friends. A test that ultimately resulted in a nice amount, more specifically 2820 euros, in the pot! The biggest surprise was when the four candidates had to get into a car separately afterwards to a mysterious destination.

Pass questions

Twenty-four hours later they met again and told them what they had experienced during that time. Some told the truth, others a lie. It was up to the rest to determine whether the story was correct. If the majority guessed correctly, 1,000 euros went into the group pot. If two out of three guess their fellow candidate incorrectly, they would be asked two pass questions!

And the latter were of course very important, because another elimination was planned. A very important one this time, because it determined which three participants could advance to the grand final. Unfortunately, it is Charlotte who will not live to see that, because she lost out at the last minute. “I felt it coming a little bit,” says Charlotte. ‘You are left with the best players anyway and of course there were also the pass questions that everyone except me had. I was really bummed. I wish this adventure could have lasted weeks longer.’

Farewell to grandpa

Many viewers were undoubtedly in shock, because they had Charlotte in their sights as Mole! ‘I have never consciously played tricks to make myself suspicious. That is the Mole’s job,” Charlotte defends herself. “I’m just very casual and very convincing.”

Her departure meant that she could say goodbye to her grandfather, who died shortly after she returned home. ‘The fact that I had to go home that evening allowed me to say goodbye. If I had made it to the final, I would have been too late. Then the game and some pass questions become very unimportant.’ All in all, the fact that she was allowed to participate in ‘De Mol’ makes her: ‘The happiest Lolo in the whole world’, to put it in her own words. ‘I will never experience this adventure again, and it is difficult for me sometimes.’
