The federal government has approved 25 military aid packages so far. The most recent was last Friday, when the government released 100 million euros for the maintenance of the F-16 fighter planes used by the international coalition supporting Ukraine.

The military aid released since February 24, 2022 includes supplies, fuel and industrial purchases. The support provided is coordinated with the coalition supporting Ukraine to ensure that aid is complementary and tailored as best as possible to the needs of Ukrainians.

In any case, the Belgian Defense will continue to respond to Ukraine’s requests

Minister of Defense Ludivine Dedonder (PS)

“The Belgian Defense will in any case continue to respond to Ukraine’s requests, either through donations from its reserves or by using our industry. And general defense support to the Ukrainian armed forces will continue for as long as necessary,” said Dedonder, responding to questions from Denis Ducarme (MR), Georges Dallemagne (Les Engagés), Tim Vandenput (Open Vld) and Theo Francken (N -VA).
