Ex-Miss Belgium Celine Van Ouytsel and Voka Mechelen-Kempen visited LSG Landmeters from Geel, contender for the ‘Voka Prize for Entrepreneurship 2024’. “Their growth figures have stood out among those of other companies in the region,” it said.

For the entire month of May, Voka Mechelen-Kempen will be celebrating the ‘Voka Prize for Entrepreneurship 2024’. Nine Voka Lokaal awards are presented and that award comes from ex-Miss Belgium Celine Van Ouytsel. She does this together with the Voka Lokaal chairmen.

Three contenders have already been announced. LSG Landmeters from Geel is number four and wins the Voka Lokaal award Kempen Zuid. They now also have a chance to win the big ‘Voka Prize for Entrepreneurship 2024’ in September.

“We are pleasantly surprised. It also puts our profession in the spotlight,” says manager Joost Smets. “Most people know surveyors from traditional roadside surveying. What we do goes further than that: we also do many estimates or are present on construction sites. Our typical clients are financial institutions, accountants, justices of the peace, lawyers, notaries, architects and contractors.”

LSG Landmeters was founded in 2016. “We grew organically during the first two years. Stef and I started. In 2019, our third partner Jef joined the company. In 2020 we took over the Peter Verheyden study office from Ravels and in 2023 the customer portfolio of Klaus Raymaekers from Beerse We now work with fifteen surveyors and two administrative employees. Our projects are mainly spread across the provinces of Antwerp and Limburg. Our customers tell us that we can respond quickly and be flexible We really emphasize good proactive communication with our employees, whether that concerns prices, implementation times or timing.”

Growth figures

“LSG can present good growth figures, both in turnover and in FTEs,” says Geert Minnen, chairman of Voka Lokaal Kempen Zuid. “Their growth rates have stood out from other companies in the region.”

From June 1, 2024, everyone can vote on the Voka website for their favorite company. This way you can give the company in its region a boost towards the finals. A professional jury will make the final decision. On September 26 we will know who the big winner of the 2024 Entrepreneurship Prize will be.
