Tech website Android Headlines has published promotional material for the upcoming Google Pixel 8a. The material shows that the smartphone will include various AI functions, have an IP67 rating and will receive seven years of security updates.

The Pixel 8a is said to include the following AI features: best capture and night mode for photos, Audiogum, summaries for emails, Circle to Search and Call Assist. The smartphone is also said to have noise cancellation during telephone calls. It is not clear whether all of these features will be available to all users.

The promotional images show that the Google Pixel 8a will be able to fast charge. The device is also said to have an IP67 rating and, according to Android Headlines, comes in four colors: black, blue, mint green and off-white. That last color shade is called ‘porcelain‘. Android Headlines reports that Google will offer several variants, each with different storage space. It is not yet clear how much the Google Pixel 8a will cost.

The smartphone would be available from May 16. That’s two days after the Google I/O developer conference. This will take place on May 14 and 15 this year. Details about the Pixel 8a have already been leaked this year; the phone has also already been approved by the FCC. The smartphone is said to have a Tensor G3 SoC and contain the same camera sensors as the Pixel 7a. The device would also have a 6.1” OLED display, with a refresh rate of 120Hz and DisplayPort output support.
