But they don’t have that feeling with The Great Old. Vincent Janssen confirms to Het Nieuwsblad that the feeling in the dressing room has completely changed in a week and there is a very good reason for this.

“Exactly,” the Dutchman continues. “There was a bad atmosphere in the group in recent weeks, due to the many defeats. Everyone was really going through it. We had to leave that negativity at home. We had lunch together and went to watch the Giants (the basketball team, ed.). The rest of the week there was laughter again at training, just like before.”

Even after the defeat against Club Brugge, that has not changed. At Antwerp they realize very well that the cup final is a unique opportunity and that everything starts again from now on. “Everyone is like: ‘this is our moment!’” Janssen concludes.
