Easily distracted and find it difficult to sit still? If your child has ADHD this can sometimes be quite challenging. Fortunately, there are also a lot of positive qualities that children with ADHD often possess.

Of the children, 3 to 5 percent meet the criteria for ADHD, which is two to three times more common in boys than girls.

Positive qualities

Children with ADHD are usually busy and often do things without thinking it through. This can be difficult for both your child and you as a parent. Yet the positive aspects are often overlooked.

1. Creative

Children with ADHD are often very creative and have a larger fantasy world. They think out of the boxand they come up with original ideas straight away.

2. Energetic

Children with AHDH are known to have a lively energy. Their enthusiasm can be contagious and light up a room. And their spontaneity and friendliness also make for fun and unexpected conversations.

3. Perseverance

When these kids are excited about something, they give 100 percent to achieve their goals. Just giving up is not in their dictionary.

4. Humor

Many children with ADHD have a good sense of humor and have no trouble making others laugh.

5. Flexibility

Changes and unexpected situations are no problem for them. They have great adaptability and are flexible.

6. Resourceful

Children with ADHD can get bored quickly, which means they are often inventive in coming up with new activities or ways to keep busy.

7. Enterprising

Sitting still is absolutely not for them. Partly for this reason, many children have enterprising spirits and dare to take steps that others do not dare.
