Russian milbloggers distributed images via Telegram of a successful Ukrainian attack on a Russian ship in the Kerch Strait. According to British intelligence services, the Ukrainians are becoming increasingly efficient in their attacks on the Russian fleet.

Images recorded last Saturday with a surveillance camera show a Russian warship being seriously hit by a missile. The military news channel ‘Military Informant’ on Telegram was one of the first to distribute the images. The Russian ship was moored at the Zaliv shipyard in Kerch, a port city in Crimea.

The Russian army acknowledges that it had to swallow an attack on a modern ship last Saturday. According to him, Ukraine used fifteen missiles for this purpose. Thirteen were reportedly shot down by Russian anti-aircraft defense. The other two hit their target: the warship Askold and a shipyard were destroyed. On Twitter/X, the Ukrainian army boasts of a Storm Shadow missile. That Western long-range missile would have been the star of the attack, Kiev writes.

The British intelligence services see the Ukrainians becoming increasingly efficient in their attacks on the Russian fleet. This probably makes the Russians think not to deploy new ships too quickly and to station the fleet further away, out of the shot of the Ukrainian army.
