An Israeli soldier points in the dark to what is believed to be part of a rocket launch system. The attached text states that Hamas is firing rockets into Israel a few meters from a children’s swimming pool and 20 to 30 meters from a residential area.

Israeli soldiers say they have found a rocket launcher hidden underground, near a mosque. “The electricity comes from the mosque,” it is stated. An Israeli soldier walks through a youth movement building in the north of the Gaza Strip. On one side there are murals of young people, on the other side of the room there are rocket launchers.

During a press conference, a spokesperson for the Israeli army shows a detailed 3D animation of Al Shifa Hospital, the largest hospital in the Gaza Strip, in Gaza City. And more specifically, what the Israeli army claims is beneath that hospital: a network of tunnels and spaces used by Hamas as their headquarters. Images of the same hospital have been distributed to show that Hamas snipers are firing on Israeli soldiers from there.

These are all images with which the Israeli army wants to prove that Hamas is interfering with the civilian population and using civilian infrastructure as command centers and to attack Israel. And so Israel believes that it is no longer about civilian, but about military targets, which it can therefore attack.
