The story behind the feud between Charlie Sheen and Ashton Kutcher.

In 2011, the entertainment world was shaken when Chuck Lorre, the creator of Two and a Half Menmade the drastic decision to part ways with its lead actor, Charlie Sheen, who struggled with ongoing issues surrounding alcohol and drugs.

The firing occurred at the height of the series’ popularity, shocking fans. Lorre’s solution was to bring in Ashton Kutcher as Sheen’s replacement, a decision that would later spark a feud between the two actors.

Twitter

Kutcher, who took over the role, faced immediate criticism from Sheen, who publicly complained about his successor. The actor openly expressed his dissatisfaction, stating that the show’s decline was inevitable and blaming Kutcher for the substandard scripts. Sheen also frequently attacked Kutcher via his Twitter account.

Ashton Kutcher actually didn’t respond to this for years until the ongoing feud was discussed on Jimmy Kimmel’s show. Kutcher stated: “Really, enough is enough. It’s been three years and he still keeps trolling me on Twitter.”

Reconciliation with Lorre

The following years brought an unexpected twist, as Charlie Sheen and Chuck Lorre reconciled. Sheen subsequently publicly apologized to Lorre and others affected by his behavior.

Kutcher has indicated that he is still not friends with Sheen, but that he has great respect for his craftsmanship as an actor and his role in Two and a Half Men.
