Married at First Sight is off to a wonderful start again this season with all the striking couples that have passed by. The last couple to marry blind is Erik and Gerben, the only gay couple in this season. Just like with the other participants, Erik and Gerben have in-depth conversations with the MAFS experts. They say that they have both had a long relationship that has left deep marks. Now they’re all set to find the one, and in addition to the scientific experiment, they’re also not averse to taking matters into their own hands. MAFS expert Eveline Stallaart reveals RTL Boulevard: “This season’s gay couple has a very special story. So special that the experts had never experienced it before.”
How do Erik and Gerben from MAFS know each other from?
Because it turns out: Erik and Gerben have already dated! During the test days of the love program, both men continued dating (just in case they weren’t picked by the MAFS team) and ended up on a romantic date together. It soon emerged that the men had both registered for Married at First Sight. Coincidence does not exist!
A second date
To give the experiment a fair chance, the men decided to leave it at their first date. If the gentlemen were not chosen by the experts, or if the program was over and therefore had not resulted in a successful relationship, they would schedule a follow-up date. But that second date is at the altar, because the men are linked to each other!
