Pauline (23) was able to conquer the heart of Junior Planckaert

Junior Planckaert sought and found love. On Tuesday evening, the youngest member of Eddy and Christa announced that he saw the ideal match in HR consultant Pauline and that he wanted to build a future with her. And they are currently still doing that. “So happy that we can finally come out together, this shouldn’t have lasted a month longer”, Pauline says with relief.

As is often the case with television programs, the recordings of ‘Junior in search of love’ have been completed for a while. Four months ago, Pauline (23) got to know Junior Planckaert (29) in front of TV-watching Flanders. She lives in Celles, a small village just across the language border. Yet she almost sees herself as a full-blooded West Flemish, who happens to be perfectly bilingual.

Her father comes from Kerkhove, a sub-municipality of Avelgem. He followed love to Wallonia, where Pauline was eventually born. However, she spent her entire school years in West Flanders, from kindergarten in Outrijve to Vives college in Kortrijk. She still lives at home in Celles, but now works as an HR consultant in Waregem.

Junior’s calm nature and unique lifestyle prompted Pauline to enroll in the program, as did 600 other young ladies. The interest was mutual as she ended up with the eight remaining candidates who all wanted to prove that they were the perfect match for Junior.

“It was a kind of competition, I’ve never experienced that competitive feeling. Sometimes it felt like we were just traveling with eight friends,” Pauline laughs. “Towards the end it became more and more difficult to share Junior with the other girls, because of course everyone wanted to spend as much time with him as possible. But there was no rivalry. I still have a very good relationship with Ati and Delphine. They sincerely granted it to me.”

There were both adventurous group dates and romantic individual outings, but Pauline fell for Junior at an unguarded moment: “We were in the car on the race track. I can’t explain it well, but suddenly we looked at each other in a different way than before. We were just talking quietly, nothing special. Yet I felt at that moment that I really go for him. That look of his said more than a thousand words. I decided to open up even more than I already did.”

The ride on the racetrack is – not unexpectedly – ​​one of Pauline’s top three favorite moments, followed by the trip to Paris and her very first solo date with Junior. “But we also had nice moments without Junior, just with the girls”, it sounds honest.

Especially towards the end I felt that Junior was okay, but you never sit down safe, says Pauline. “Even when it was just me and Ati. All my emotions were shaken in a few minutes, which was very crazy.” Junior apparently made a good choice, because four months later the relationship is still going strong.

Building future

“It is going very well”, reveals the early twenties. “That is not obvious, in the end we got to know each other at a fast pace in three weeks while he had to divide his attention among all the girls. Only when the cameras were gone could it really start, I thought. We meet very regularly and are really happy. Now that we can finally go out together, we take another step forward as a couple. I find it quite exciting to see how our love will continue to grow. We don’t have any concrete plans yet, but I do hope that we can build a future together. I look forward to all that is yet to come!”
