Charlotte Van Brabander explains dramatic crying fit in ‘De Traitors’: “I was pregnant”

Did Charlotte Van Brabander deliver a strong performance in ‘De Verraders’ on Sunday when she burst into tears? Many viewers believe so. But the Wijnegem ‘influencer’ has another explanation for the dramatic cry. “I discovered that I was pregnant just before the filming,” she says Hello everyone. “My hormones were going all over the place.”

Charlotte Van Brabander was seduced into the role of traitor, but she seems to realize that it is not made for her. “That game is just not normal. It drives you crazy,” she said while crying to her fellow candidates in last Sunday’s episode. “My tears are always genuine,” she added, but many viewers still believe she was crying crocodile tears.

In Hello everyone Charlotte now tells that she suspects she was more emotional than usual during the recordings. Just before she moved to the castle, she discovered that she had become pregnant after a fertility treatment. “My hormones were going all over the place, I sometimes went crazy,” she says. After the recordings she suffered a pregnancy loss, but not much later she was pregnant again. In August she gave birth to daughter Billie June. “Being a mother is the best thing there is,” she says.
