In addition to the World Championship for young show jumpers, a whole series of approved stallions will also start in Sires of the World. In the final test over a height of 1.50m Kars Bonhof achieved an excellent result. He rode the KWPN approved Hernandez Tn (by Kannan) double clear and finished sixth. The victory went to another Kannan son: Patrick Stühlmeyer and Drako de Maugre (by Kannan) were too quick for everyone and won Sires of the World 2022.
Hernandez Tn has made great strides this season under Kars Bonhof. For example, they already recorded several clear rounds in the Nations Cup competitions and already took top ten placings in several Grand Prix. Yesterday the stallion Sires of the World started with a clear round and today he was again double clear. In the course with a jump-off afterwards over a height of 1.50m, the combination finished sixth.
Gold for Drako de Maugre
Kannan is well represented in the top ten. The only nine-year-old Kannan son Drako de Maugre jumped a clear round yesterday under his rider Patrick Stühlmeyer. Where the combination recorded the slowest clear round yesterday, today it was exactly the other way around. With his clear round in a time of 37.24 seconds, the stallion won Sires of the World 2022.
Silver and Bronze
Gudrun Patteet had to settle for 47th place yesterday. Sea Coast Enjoy Z (by Emerald) did not stay completely off the wood and saw two beams fall. Today the stallion showed his quality by finishing second. The jump-off in 37.67 seconds was good enough to stay ahead of Jens Vanderberk and 17-year-old Faldiano (by Heartbreaker). The combination did achieve the best result over two days: yesterday they finished eighth and today they were placed third.
The other Dutch riders were unable to set clear rounds today. The best result came from Bas Moerings. He got an unfortunate error with Ipsthar (by Denzel Vt Meulenhof ) and finished just outside the prizes in 14th place. Harrie Smolders also got a foul with Uricas V/d Kattevennen (by Uriko) and scored four penalty points. With his other trump, Escape Z (by Emerald), eight penalty points appeared on the scoreboard.
Meike Zwartjens and Twister de la Pomme (by Darco) again had two errors and were 29th. Frank Schuttert got with Jovial Es (by Fernando H) two faults and a time foul, which puts us back in 32nd place. Loewie Joppen finished tenth yesterday in the strong field of participants. Today Important Style Vk (by Falaise de Muze) seemed a bit empty as the stallion crossed the finish line with an unusual 12 penalty points.
