The Mousetrap can also be admired in Dutch theaters next year. Willeke van Ammelrooy, Wilbert Gieske and Frederik Brom make their appearance again in the theatrical murder mystery. Chris Tates and Levi Vos are the new additions to the cast.

Agatha Christies The Mousetrap is the world’s longest running theater production. The piece, based on Christie’s radio play Three Blind Mice, premiered in 1952 and has been a staple in theaters ever since. Rick Engelkes brought the production back on stage in the Netherlands last season and is now signing for a successful sequel in 2023.

Cast The Mousetrap

The cast of The Mousetrap remains largely intact. So give Willeke van Ammelrooy, Frederik Brom and Wilbert Gieske again acte de presence. Newcomers are Chris Tates and Levi Vos. Roos van Erkel, Danny Westerweel and Guusje te Pas also participate in the exciting play.

Theater secret

The Mousetrap revolves around the question of who committed the two murders around the snowbound Monkswell Manor. Everyone in attendance has a motive and occasion, but who is to blame? Who the perpetrator is exactly is a big theatrical secret. Everyone who leaves the hall is as silent as the grave. Christie has even laid down in her will that the story may only be made into a film if the play is no longer performed in the theater.
