Seen a firearm?
It soon became apparent from various statements by witnesses that the collision was intentional. A firearm may have been seen in the vehicle involved prior to the collision. It is unclear, according to the police, whether this was also threatened.

The car was later found on De Jonghstraat in Veghel. There the vehicle was impounded. The home of the owner of the car was raided during the night. The arrest team was deployed, but the suspect was not at home. His house was searched.
