The municipality of Duffel is organizing the ‘Stap & Trap’ campaign from Monday 12 September to Sunday 9 October. With this, the local government wants to encourage as many Duffelaars as possible to move to local traders in a sustainable way.
“Participating is very easy. When customers come to the store by bike or on foot during this period, they will receive a stamp on their Stap & Trap savings card from no fewer than 52 merchants. With five stamps you have a full stamp card. The main prize is, as is customary every year, a beautiful bicycle,” says Alderman of Economy Dirk Broes (N-VA).
“The aim of this campaign is to promote the bicycle as an ideal means of transport for shopping at our local merchants,” emphasizes Mobility Alderman Jos Hellemans. (CD&V).
Participants can deposit their full stamp card(s) in special collection boxes until Sunday 16 October. You can find it on the square on the Kiliaanstraat, in the parking lot on the Bruul and in the Mijlstraat on the Spar. You can also hand them in at the reception of the town hall. (cvr)
