A young retired Ledegemnaar has won 1.5 million euros with the Lotto. He did that at Lezy’s Service Shop, the store that opened its doors only six months ago in the Stationstraat in Ledegem. The avid lottery player uses the same numbers over and over, referring to the birth dates of his children and grandchildren.

A man from Ledegem is one and a half million euros richer in one fell swoop. The man played in the Lotto draw of 6 August. “The man had six correct numbers and was the only winner,” says Liliane Goor of the National Lottery.
The winner wishes to remain anonymous. “It concerns a young retired man from Ledegem who has been playing the Lotto for years. He always opts for the same numbers that refer to the birth dates of his children and grandchildren. The winner has already indicated that he first wants to buy a new car,” says Goor.
The winner plays in Lezy’s Service Shop. The store in the Stationstraat in Ledegem has only been open for six months. A serious boost for Jeroen Lezy. “This is a great advertisement for our store. Apparently there is something good in the ground here, because customers regularly pay a price here. It is the first time that someone has won such a large amount. It does provide some excitement. People want to know who the winner is, but I don’t know that myself,” says the manager. The winner can call himself the 18th Lotto millionaire of this year.
