The 27-year-old man from Roosendaal who was arrested on Friday evening after the fatal car accident in Oud Gastel is still in custody on Saturday. A police spokesperson confirmed this. The suspect tested negative for alcohol and drugs immediately after the accident.
On Friday evening around 6.25 pm, the police received a report of a serious traffic accident at the Blauwhekken in Oud Gastel in Brabant. For unknown reasons, two cars collided with each other.
Two adults and two young children were killed in the accident. The victims, all from Bosschenhoofd, are a 39-year-old woman, her eight-year-old son and her ten-year-old daughter, and a 42-year-old woman. The nine-year-old daughter of this 42-year-old woman was injured and was taken to hospital. Police said the suspect tested negative for alcohol and drugs immediately after the accident.
A number of citizens had provided first aid to the victims after the accident, the police said
