At the end of March, the bodies of a 46-year-old woman and her 17-year-old daughter were found lifeless in their home in Kraainem. The emergency services were notified by the woman’s friend, who was soon arrested and arrested by the investigating judge on suspicion of the double murder. The 51-year-old man has always denied the facts and was finally released on May 5 by the Indictment Chamber.

The investigation was still ongoing and on Friday the man was arrested again by investigators from the federal judicial police of Halle-Vilvoorde, along with a second suspect.

“The other man is a 39-year-old man of Congolese nationality from Brussels,” said Gilles Blondeau of the public prosecutor’s office in Halle-Vilvoorde. “The latter is suspected of having committed the offenses on behalf of the partner/stepfather of the victims. Both persons will be questioned today and then brought before the investigating judge in Brussels, who will decide on their further arrest.”

The two suspects are now under arrest warrant and charged with murder.
