For its second generation, the Porsche Macan has switched to a fully electric powertrain, which logically also results in a higher price. The basic version with two engines for a total of 300 kW (408 hp), a 0-100 km/h in 5.2 seconds and a top speed of 220 km/h can be yours from 88,100 euros. For that price you get a Macan 4 with a 100 kWh battery, which offers up to 613 km of autonomy. For comparison: that is 14,500 euros more than the previous generation with a combustion engine, which has a basic four-cylinder of 195 kW (265 hp).
88,100 euros for the Macan 4 or 120,700 euros for the Turbo
At the top of the range is the Macan Turbo, with its 470 kW (639 hp), 1,130 Nm of torque and rocket-like performance: a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 260 km/h! This version also has a 100 kWh battery, which gives it a range of up to 591 km per charge. All this results in a base price of 120,700 euros, which is 20,000 euros more than the Macan GTS that currently tops the fuel range.
As expensive as a Cayman Spyder RS or a Carrera 4 GTS
Of course, Porsche wouldn’t be itself if it didn’t offer extensive personalization options and ditto options list. It is possible to add more than 65,000 euros in options and accessories to the Macan Turbo, for a total price approaching 190,000 euros! That is 10,000 euros more than for a Cayman Spyder RS or a 911 Carrera 4 GTS!
Macan with petrol engine still available, but not for much longer
If you are not a fan of electric cars, it is still possible to buy an ‘old’ Macan with a combustion engine, but not for much longer. Its production will be stopped by the end of June this year, not for CO2 reasons, but because the model does not meet the latest cybersecurity standards. If you want a new petrol Macan, you have to hurry!
