The Bruges derby between Club Brugge and Cercle Brugge has remained undecided. After an intense match it ended 0-0.

The Bruges derby always creates high tension and this year was no different. Especially because Cercle had a better position in the rankings ahead of Club. Cercle recovered Somers, at Club Ordonez was in the starting line-up.

There was immediately a lot of competition, but there were not many chances in the first half. Club came very close to 1-0 twice. Warleson kept Meijer and Skov Olsen from taking the lead in just over a minute.

Cercle Brugge came more and more at the end of the first half. Denkey blasted a low cross from Lemarechal onto the post after Mechele lost the ball. Just before half-time, Skov Olsen grabbed his hamstrings and went in before the whistle.

Jutgla leaves it a few times

There was also a lot of competition in the second half, with chances on both sides. Just before the hour mark, Cercle dropped it twice. They first failed to execute a three-on-two counter well, and Gboho bumped into Mignolet two minutes later.

Club, for its part, kept coming up against goalkeeper Warleson. Jutgla, Vetlesen and Jutgla again could not get past the Brazilian. Ten minutes before the end, Jutgla missed the chance to make it 1-0, Miangue was also in a good position. Two minutes before the end, the Brazilian was again on target to keep Jutgla from scoring the opening goal.

Jan Breydel no longer scored, the score remained 0-0. Cercle remains in the top six, Club is seventh. The difference between the two Bruges teams remains two points in the rankings. Club takes 5 out of 18 and has only won one of its last seven matches in the Jupiler Pro League.
