With a first prize and praise, the Bakkerij Kruiper team proudly returned home from the Dutch BakkersVakWedrijders championships in Heerenveen.
18-year-old baker in training Colin Boelsma won this prize for his classic butter cookies. In addition, Bakkerij Kruiper took home seven more prizes.
The final products were brought to Heerenveen, where all entries were assessed by a professional jury. A day later, a delegation from Bakkerij Kruiper went to the Fean Plaza of the Abe Lenstra stadium, where the results were announced.
In addition to the first prize for Colin’s butter cookies, there were prizes for the Kruiper sisters’ chocolates, the Christmas stollen, the white buns and the sweet and savory croissants from baker Twan Miedema, Colin’s braided rolls and Eduard Kruiper’s butter sprits.
“We are of course very proud of this great result,” says Laura Kruiper. “Customers can also get some of what we made for the competition in the store, such as the famous Twans croissant and currently also the Christmas loaf. Our chocolates appear in, among other things, the Kruiper sisters’ advent calendars.”
