Bizarre storyline in ‘Virgin River’ scares fans: will it be resolved in season 5?

We’re used to the lives of characters in series usually being much more interesting than ours, since there’s always so much happening at once. Of course they are not always fun things, but they are exciting. This is also the case in the Netflix series Virgin River.

A lot has happened over the course of the show’s five seasons. Think of murders, betrayals, secret revelations, divorces, etc. But although the series is action-packed, one thing has remained the same.

Pregnant for far too long

Charmaine Roberts revealed at the end of season 1 that she was pregnant with Jack’s baby. And it makes fans extremely frustrated that after the end of the first part of season 5, she still hasn’t given birth. It seems like the timeline of the series is completely wrong.

On the one hand we have characters experiencing life-changing moments, and on the other hand we have Charmaine who has been pregnant for seasons. It seems impossible that Preacher has had multiple life partners and fallen in love three times in less than nine months…

Cliff hanger?

Fans are hoping that she will give birth in one of the two upcoming episodes of season 5. And if that doesn’t happen, they may even consider not watching the series any further. The fact that her pregnancy could be used as another cliffhanger for season 6 is infuriating fans.
