Municipality puts Harderwijk athletes in the spotlight: who will receive the Sports Medal or title of Special Sports Achievement?

HARDERWIJK The municipality of Harderwijk will hold the annual Sports Honors on Wednesday, January 31. It is again possible to register individual athletes, sports teams, (sports) organizations or persons for the Sports Medal or title of Special Sports Achievement.

You can register until December 31, 2023 via www.harderwijk.nl/sporthuldiging.

SPORTS TONING

The municipality of Harderwijk has a lot of sporting talent. Some athletes achieve one or more special sporting achievements, for example at a National Championship, European Championship, World Cup, Olympic or Paralympic championship. Every year, the municipality of Harderwijk puts its excellent performing athletes in the spotlight. They receive the Harderwijk Sports Medal from Sports Councilor Marcel Companjen.

SPECIAL SPORTS PERFORMANCE

In addition to individual athletes who are eligible for the Sports Medal, many more special sports achievements are achieved every year. Consider a team that has been promoted or an exceptional talent, but also a (sports) organization or a special social initiative in the field of sports and exercise. They also have a chance to win a prize. During the Sports Honors we award the title of Special Sports Achievement to a sports team, (sports) organization or a person. In addition to this title and a trophy, the winner also receives a check of 250 euros for a sporting or social cause.
