A car collided with a truck on the N203 around 2 p.m. The accident happened near Krommenie-Assendelft station. The driver overtook the truck, but turned right too early and collided with the truck. This morning things also went wrong on the N203, when a truck overturned.
As a result of this collision, the driver lost control of the steering wheel and crashed into the guardrail. The truck then collided with the car again.
The collisions mainly caused a lot of damage to the bodywork: “A tow truck was called in to tow the passenger car away,” a police spokesperson said. The truck was also damaged, but the driver was able to drive away independently after the accident.
The motorist was taken to hospital by ambulance personnel. The accident caused a lot of traffic jams in the direction of Uitgeest.
Overturned truck
Earlier in the morning things also went wrong on the N203. Around 9:15 a truck overturned on the road, after which the N203 was closed in both directions. The way is now clear. No one was injured and the truck was not leaking diesel.
