The elections are just around the corner. Many people are still unsure who they will vote for. Google may offer a solution, the path that voters take to find out more about the party leaders. For example, Mirjam Bikker of the Christian Union (CU).

One of the most pressing questions was which church Mirjam Bikker goes to. That is St. John’s Church in Gouda, she says. “That is beautiful. Worth a trip.”

Does she take the bike or the car? Important issue among voters, because many of them ask on Google what car the CU leader drives. “I have a Toyota, which we can put the entire football team in on Saturdays.”

‘It was also just about Feyenoord’

Finally, one wonders who Bikker had by her side during Budget Day 2023. That was her son. “It is important that we look after everyone. Also to those who are less fortunate. So that the money is distributed fairly.” He then said that in front of the NOS camera. Mother Bikker promises in Goedemorgen Nederland on NPO 1 that those words come “from his own heart”.

Politics is not a topic of conversation at the breakfast table in the Bikker household. “This morning it was just about Feyenoord.”
