The incident took place in the Cotia police district, in western São Paulo. Three men are said to have been able to enter the home with the help of someone who lives in the same building. Security cameras recorded how the criminals entered the complex. One suspect, a 20-year-old man, has also been arrested.
Local media reported that the burglars’ initial plan was to kidnap Biancardi and Mavie, but the police have ruled that out (for now). The two were not present at the home at the time of the burglary, but the parents of the Brazilian influencer were. They were threatened and tied up, but are otherwise unharmed.

Biancardi’s mother also responded to the Brazilian medium Splash. “They were after valuables,” the woman said. “But just because I’m Neymar’s mother-in-law doesn’t mean I have a lot of money at home. Our safe was empty.
