The incident took place in the Cotia police district, in western São Paulo. Three men are said to have been able to enter the home with the help of someone who lives in the same building. Security cameras recorded how the criminals entered the complex. One suspect, a 20-year-old man, has also been arrested.
Local media reported that the burglars’ initial plan was to kidnap Biancardi and Mavie, but the police have ruled that out (for now). The two were not present at the home at the time of the burglary, but the parents of the Brazilian influencer were. They were threatened and tied up, but are otherwise unharmed.
“It is true that there was a burglary in my house and that my parents were held hostage,” Biancardi confirmed to her 9 million followers on Instagram. “Luckily me, my sister and Mavie no longer live there and we were not in the house at the time of the robbery. My parents were not injured either, that is the most important thing at the moment.”

Biancardi’s mother also responded to the Brazilian medium Splash. “They were after valuables,” the woman said. “But just because I’m Neymar’s mother-in-law doesn’t mean I have a lot of money at home. Our safe was empty. In the end they took five watches, two gold rings and three bags.” Neymar himself talks about a “sad day” on Instagram, because a girlfriend of the Brazilian star footballer also died.
Last summer, Neymar moved to Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia, but they did not enjoy the Brazilian there yet. He suffered a serious knee injury in October while playing for the Brazilian national team (torn anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus), has since undergone surgery and will be out of action for months.
Luis Diaz’s father is still in custody
In Colombia, the parents of Liverpool player Luis Diaz were recently kidnapped by the ELN guerrilla movement. His mother was rescued, but his father is still being held.
“Today it is not the footballer who talks to you, but today Lucho Diaz, son of Luis Manuel Diaz, speaks to you,” Diaz wrote on Instagram two days ago. “My father is a tireless worker and pillar of the family. I ask the ELN to release him immediately and ask international organizations to work together to get my father released.”

Despite the situation surrounding his family, Diaz played for Liverpool on Sunday and scored the equalizer in injury time in the match against Luton Town (1-1). With a message on his shirt he asked for his dad to be released.
Diaz receives a lot of support from his teammates. But his family is having a hard time. “My mother, my brothers and I are desperate, scared and have no words to describe what we feel. This suffering will only end when we get him back home. I ask you to release him immediately, to respect his integrity and to end this painful wait as soon as possible,” he said.
