18-year-old man died in accident on A12 near Ede, two men arrested for driving under the influence | Domestic

The police confirmed this on Wednesday morning.

The accident happened around 12:30 am on the road towards Utrecht, just before the Maanderbroek junction. Two passenger cars collided for unknown reasons. One of the cars ended up in the guardrail, the second vehicle flipped over and came to a stop about 250 meters away.

The police have also arrested two men for driving under the influence: a 45-year-old and a 30-year-old man, both from Utrecht. Both men were injured in the accident, one of them so seriously that he was taken to hospital. A total of three people were involved in the accident.

The A12 was completely closed for hours for investigation.
